THE FACE OF GOD

Lay your hands upon my un-belief
and cast it from my soul
fill me with your presence
recall to mind what I've let go

Let me comprehend my value
when I look into your eyes
let me know that I am equal
let me touch your light

Do not come to me as teacher
come to me as friend
do not think your jobs to change me
merely let me in

The change will come the instant
I see myself as you
the Oneness of our Spirit
will make us both brand new

I have the deepest yearning
to look upon your face
the face that's always hid behind
the mask called human race

And soon we all shall see it
when we awake from this Facade
and we recognize each others face
as the face of God
